
TORONTO MARLIES ANNOUNCE 2021-22 OPENING DAY ROSTER
The Toronto Marlies announced today the hockey club’s 2021-22 opening day roster. The Marlies roster consists of 27 players: 15 forwards, 10 defencemen and two goaltenders. The full roster is below.
The Marlies roster has three veteran players, three exempt veterans and nine rookies. The average age of the group is 24.6 years old.
The Marlies begin their season against the Manitoba Moose at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16 at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
The Toronto Marlies are the primary development program for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Since 2005, 132 players have appeared in regular season games at both the NHL and AHL levels. The Maple Leafs 2021 opening night roster featured eight players who have dressed for both the Maple Leafs and Marlies –Travis Dermott, Pierre Engvall, Justin Holl, Timothy Liljegren, Jake Muzzin, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly and Rasmus Sandin.
