TFC resumes season Tuesday with no fans

TORONTO FC SET TO CONTINUE MLS REGULAR SEASON

Toronto FC announced today that the club will continue the 2020 MLS Regular Season beginning on Tuesday, August 18, playing host to Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BMO Field. Toronto FC will play six matches against Canadian rivals, Montreal Impact and Vancouver between August 18 and September 9 in Phase One of the revised regular season schedule. All matches will be broadcast on TSN. In addition, the three matches at BMO Field will be played with no fans in attendance and following strict public health direction to protect the health and safety of both teams.

Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC will meet on Tuesday, August 18, with kick-off at 8:00 p.m. ET and Friday, August 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Toronto FC’s final home match in the six-match schedule will be on Tuesday, September 1 against the Montreal Impact at 8:00 p.m. ET. TFC will travel to Montreal on Friday, August 28 and Wednesday, September 9 and make one trip to Vancouver on Saturday, September 5.

Toronto FC currently sit second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 2-0-3 with 9 points.
