The Toronto Blue Jays have announced the following roster moves:
OF Teoscar Hernández has been placed on the injured list following exposure to a positive COVID-19 case with a close contact outside of the team. Contact tracing and follow-up testing is underway.
LHP Ryan Borucki has been placed on the injured list due to side effects from his COVID-19 vaccination.
RHP Tyler Chatwood has been placed on the 10-day injured list with right-triceps inflammation.
OF Josh Palacios, RHP Joel Payamps,and RHP Ty Tice have been recalled from the club’s alternate training site and will be active for tonight’s game.
The Toronto Blue Jays today announce that Executive Vice President, Baseball Operations & General Manager, Ross Atkins has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the organization.

Atkins was hired by the Blue Jays in December 2015 after spending 15 seasons in Cleveland’s front office. With Toronto, Atkins has led the club to two postseason appearances in five years (2016, 2020) and played an integral role in shaping the team’s player development philosophy and capabilities. He is the seventh General Manager in franchise history.

Weeknight games shifted 30 minutes later to 7:07 p.m. ET
Saturday games shifted four hours later to 7:07 p.m. ET
Sunday games remain at 1:07 p.m. ET
Getaway days shifted two hours earlier to 1:07 p.m. ET
Tickets for the third Blue Jays regular season homestand, starting May 14 vs. the Philadelphia Phillies, go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 15 at 10 a.m. ET (bluejays.com/tickets).
No decision has been made on a Blue Jays home location following the first three homestands, but the primary goal remains returning to play on Canadian soil as soon as it is safe to do so. The club has been actively working through plans for what a safe return to Rogers Centre would look like, while also scenario planning alternatives in Dunedin and Buffalo.
