Chicago swept the season series (3-0) against Toronto in 2020-21 … Zach LaVine posted a game-high 24 points, and Lauri Markkanen added 20 to lead the Bulls to a 114-102 season series sweep of the Raptors … Coby White (17
points/10 assists) and Nikola Vučević (16 points/16 rebounds) also recorded double-doubles for Chicago … In the second of three between the Bulls and the Raptors last year, Vučević and LaVine each scored 22 points to lead Chicago to a
122-113 victory … LaVine also had 15 assists, while Markkanen came off the bench to score 18 by making eight of 10 shots … Chris Boucher posted a career-high 38 points and 19 rebounds for Toronto, and Pascal Siakam added 27 points and eight rebounds …the first game between the Bulls and the Raptors was originally scheduled for Feb. 28th down in Tampa, FL but
ended up being postponed due to Toronto not having eight players available per the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols … the league rescheduled the game for April 8th in Tampa …two weeks later the teams were able to take each
other on in Chicago, where Bulls rookie Patrick Williams posted a career-best 23 points to lead Chicago, 118-95 … Chicago maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half and enjoyed a nice cushion after Denzel Valentine made three 3-pointers during a 9-0 run that pushed the lead to 96-78 with eight minutes left. Toronto, which had won 12 straight against Chicago before that game, never got closer than 11 points the rest of the night … Norman Powell scored 32 points as the depleted Raptors, down five regulars, as they lost their fifth straight … Kyle Lowry had 20 points and eight assists before being ejected in the final minutes after picking up his second technical foul for arguing with officials … the Bulls matched a season-high in rebounding with 60
against Toronto and held the Raptors to just 37 boards … prior to this game, Chicago had last beaten the Raptors on Feb. 14, 2017.
