The Raptors entered the fourth down 78-77 but started the quarter on a 13-2 run to lead 90-80 at the 8:37 mark. Fred VanVleet hit a 3-pointer with 2:04 left to put the Raptors ahead 110-98, their largest lead of the night.

KEY STAT

The Raptors shot a season-best .500 (43-86) from the field tonight, including .684 (13-19) in the fourth quarter … Fred VanVleet (16) and OG Anunoby (10) combined for 26 of Toronto’s 33 points in the final frame.  

RAPTORS NOTES:

  • With the win, Toronto improves to 3-3 this season and 2-3 at home … The Raptors have won nine consecutive games against the Magic, dating back to the 2018-2019 season … Toronto will travel to Indiana to play the Pacers on Saturday night .. The Raptors recorded a 118-100 win over Indiana earlier this week at Scotiabank Arena.
  • Scottie Barnes finished with team highs of 21 points and nine rebounds … It’s the second time this season Barnes has recorded 20+ points – he scored a season-high 25 points Oct. 22 at Boston … He entered tonight’s game ranked second in rookie scoring and rebounding … Barnes has scored the most total points (106) for a Raptors rookie through the first six games of their career.
  • Dalano Banton scored 10 points off the bench for the second straight game … Banton shot 7-for-13 from the field and grabbed five rebounds in the win.
  • Fred VanVleet recorded 19 points on 7-for-16 shooting … VanVleet has scored in double-digits in all six of the Raptors games this season.
  • The Raptors had 11 steals tonight … It’s the third time Toronto has recorded 10+ steals … The Raptors entered tonight ranked second in the NBA in steals per game.

MAGIC NOTES:

  • With the loss Orlando falls to 1-5, including 1-3 on the road … The Magic will now travel to Detroit to play the Pistons Saturday.
  • Mo Bamba recorded 14 points and tied a career high with 18 rebounds for his fourth double-double in six games … Bamba has scored in double-digits in all six games this season.
  • Cole Anthony had a team-high 24 points and shot 7-for-13 from the field, recording his second consecutive 20+ point performance … Anthony has led the Magic in scoring three times this season.
  • Rookie Jalen Suggs scored a career-high 21 points and had five assists in the loss … It’s the first time Suggshas scored 20+ points this season.
