KEY RUN

After the Raptors cut a 14-point deficit down to seven points (95-88) with 2:47 left in the fourth quarter, the Magic went on an 8-2 run to build their lead back to 13 points (103-90) with just 1:21 remaining in the game, preserving the win.

KEY STAT

Orlando had seven players score in double-digits tonight, led by Cole Anthony (15) and Jalen Suggs (15) … The Magic have had six-or-more players score 10+ points in each of the last four games (Feb. 25 – Mar. 4) … Eleven of Orlando’s 16 wins have come when six or more players score in double figures.

  • Pascal Siakam scored a game-high 34 points and added 14 rebounds in 40 minutes … Siakam leads the Raptors with a career-best 20 double-doubles this year and tonight marks the second time this season where he has recorded 30+ points and 10+ rebounds … Siakam (14) ranks third in franchise history in 30-point double-doubles, behind only Chris Bosh (40) and Vince Carter (17).
  • Malachi Flynn recorded a season-high 20 points and matched a season best with eight assists in 39 minutes … Four of Flynn’s five starts this season have come after the All-star break and he is averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 assists over this stretch (Feb. 25 – Mar. 4).
  • Precious Achiuwa tallied 11 points and six rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench … Achiuwa has scored in double-digits in four of the last five games (Feb. 26 – Mar. 4), averaging 14.8 points and shooting .483 (28-58) during this stretch … Achiuwa has led the bench in scoring 13 times this season, including in six of the last seven games (Feb. 16 – Mar. 4).

MAGIC NOTES:

  • With the win, Orlando is now 16-48 this season, including 9-26 on the road … The Magic snap a nine-game winless streak against Toronto and are now 3-1 since the All-star break …  Orlando will play the second half of a back-to-back set tomorrow night in Memphis.
  • Franz Wagner finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists in 33 minutes … Wagner reached 1,000 career points tonight, becoming the fifth rookie in franchise history – and first since Victor Oladipo (2013-2014) to reach the milestone … Wagner (64 games) is the second fastest rookie to reach the 1,000-point mark, behind only Shaquille O’Neal (43 games).
  • Cole Anthony tallied 15 points, a team-high 12 rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes … Anthony has recorded eight double-doubles in his career (all this season) … In four games since the All-star break, Anthony is averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
  • Chuma Okeke recorded 10 points and a career high 11 rebounds in 30 minutes … Okeke has now tallied three career double-doubles (all this season).
