BLUE JACKETS NOTES
HONORING NASH
Rick Nash, the Blue Jackets’ all-time leader in goals, assists, points and games played, became the first player in CBJ history to have his number retired
when his number “61” was lifted to the rafters at Nationwide Arena prior to Saturday’s game vs. Boston. The former captain, who finished his NHL career
with the Bruins in 2017-18, registered 289-258-547 in 674 games and appeared in five All-Star games as a Blue Jacket from 2002-12.
HOME AT NATIONWIDE
The Blue Jackets picked up a point for the third consecutive game with a 5-4 shootout loss to Boston on Saturday. The team picked up a point in both
games of a back-to-back set vs. the Kings and Bruins. The club closes out its five-game homestand on Monday vs Toronto. It’s part of a stretch of 9-of11 contests played at Nationwide Arena from Feb. 27-Mar. 19. CBJ moved to 10-4-2 in their last 16 games and rank second-T in the NHL in wins and
third-T in points since Jan. 27.
COMEBACK JACKETS
The Blue Jackets have earned their victories this season with the club coming back at some point in the game in 18 of their 28 wins, including eight of
their last ten victories. The 18 comeback victories are tied for the most in the NHL (COL, NYR & TBL). The club leads the league with seven wins when
trailing heading into the third period. Columbus also has five multi-goal comeback wins this season (Nov. 3 at COL, Nov. 15 vs. DET, Jan. 27 vs. NYR,
Feb. 8 at WSH and Feb. 10 at BUF).

contests (includes SO goals). The club is 23-3-1 when scoring four goals or more in a contest this season, recording four-plus goals in six of the last nine
games. CBJ, who averaged 2.39 goals-a-game in 2020-21, have twice finished a campaign averaging better than three goals a game (club record 3.12
avg. in 2018-19 and 3.01 avg. in 2016-17).
