On tonight’s game:
It’s tough because we did a lot of good things in the first half. We accomplished everything we wanted to set out with our start, we played the way we wanted to play. We definitely got comfortable once we got the lead. It’s going to be a good lesson for our group. This is a tough league, that was a tough opponent, especially a rival opponent. We really just left too much time and space for them as the game went on.

We just took our foot off the gas. I think we came out there and played two periods exactly how we wanted to. We had the game in our hands and it was just bleh.     On if that was as complete of a game he’s seen form his team this year:
    Sheldon Keefe: We’ve had a few. I think the third period was as good as we’ve played. We had a real
    good one in Philadelphia as well but today it was a lot of the things we wanted to do; how we use our
    bench, how we change, how we hold onto pucks and spend time in the other teams zone. Today the third
    period was as good as it’s been there was lots of good things in the second. The first period there were
    parts there we didn’t like so much but a really good win for our team.

    On if this was one of the teams most complete games of the season:
    Auston Matthews: Definitely on of them. I think the third period especially, just locking it down and
    playing with good structure with all four lines not giving them too much and we ended up scoring a couple
    to put the game away. Overall I thought that third period we really stepped up and shut the door.
    On the play of the Kämpf-Kaše-Engvall line:
    Auston Matthews: They’ve great for us all year. I mean those guys are just really good in all three zones.
    Kämpf especially, he just always seems to be in the right spots. He’s got really good chemistry between
    him and Kaše and Pierre but especially those two. I think growing up together, they have a really good
    friendship off the ice and leads to a lot of really good play from them on the ice and they’ve been really
    good for us.
    JUSTIN HOLL
    On if tonight was one of their best full team performances:
    Justin Holl: I think so. There are obviously things we can do better in the first and second in terms of
    letting guys behind us but we kind of limited that and made them earn their offense in the third period and
    I thought the third period was probably the best third period we played all year in terms of giving them
    nothing but also getting our o-zone game going.
    On what he thought of Kaše’s shot blocking:
    Justin Holl: I loved it. I little two pad stack, you love to see it. Those are the plays that win you games
    and that’s a big compete play and he’s been doing that all year for us.
    JACK CAMPBELL
    On getting a shutout in his 100th career NHL game:
    Jack Campbell: It feels great. Nashville came in playing extremely well right now and the team played so
    hard in front of me. I think the blocks at the end and really the whole game speaks for itself. I’m just really
    lucky to play behind the blue guys tonight. We were great.
    On the play of the Kämpf-Kaše-Engvall line:
    Jack Campbell: We’re just lucky to have those guys. They kind of commit to their role of being an
    amazing shutdown line but also have been producing a lot for us and we’re going to need that. They’re
    great players so it’s really exciting to see them dominating on the defensive side of the puck and getting
    rewarded in the o-zone.
    DAVID KÄMPF

    David Kämpf: I think we played good hockey today. The last period I think was great hockey from us. We
    did what we wanted to, it was a good game.
