RAPTORS-CELTICS PREGAME NOTES

GAME #12 – TORONTO RAPTORS (6-5) vs. BOSTON CELTICS (4-6)
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2021 – 7:30 P.M. (ET) – TD GARDEN
TV: SPORTSNET – RADIO: SPORTSNET 590 THE FAN

• The Toronto Raptors (6-5) play the first game of a back-to-back set Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics (4-6) at TD Garden. The Raptors visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. Wednesday marks the
second of four meetings between the division rivals this season. Scottie Barnes had season highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds and the Raptors beat Boston 115-83 to spoil the Celtics’ home opener. Toronto has never defeated the Celtics in Boston twice in the same season.
• Toronto has started a season with four straight road wins for the first time in franchise history. The Raptors will play eight of their next nine games on the road (Nov. 10-26).
Pascal Siakam returned to the starting lineup Sunday vs. Brooklyn. Siakam missed the first 10 games of
the regular season recovering from left shoulder surgery. He underwent surgery in June to repair a torn labrum. Siakam scored 15 points in 25 minutes of action against the Nets.
Fred VanVleet (581) passed Andrea Bargnani (579) for fourth on the Raptors’ all-time three-point field goals list Sunday vs. Brooklyn. Kyle Lowry holds the franchise record with 1,518 three-pointers, followed by Morris Peterson (801) and Terrence Ross (598).
• Rookie Scottie Barnes tied the Raptors rookie record for steals in a game with five Sunday afternoon against the Nets. Jamario Moon had five steals Jan. 18, 2008 vs. Atlanta, while Damon Stoudamire recorded five steals Jan. 11, 1996 also against the Hawks. Barnes currently leads all rookies in scoring (16.6
ppg), rebounds (8.7) and field goal percentage (.524 – min. 50 FGA). He has led the team in scoring in four of his first nine games played, scored 20+ points three times and earned two double-doubles.
Gary Trent Jr. (48) and Fred VanVleet (45) rank first and second, respectively, in the NBA in deflections. Trent Jr. also leads the NBA in steals per game (2.73) and has already tied his career high with five steals three times this year. VanVleet has led the league in deflections per game each of the past two seasons.
• The Raptors had a season-low eight turnovers Sunday against the Nets. Toronto currently ranks third in the NBA in turnovers per game (12.8). Over the last four games (Nov. 1-7), Toronto has committed just 39 turnovers, while forcing opponents into 64 turnovers (+25 differential).
OG Anunoby is averaging a team-high 20.2 points this season (+4.3 ppg from 2020-21). Anunoby leads the Raptors with 31 threes and is shooting 36 percent (31-86) from beyond the arc. Anunoby has scored 20+ points six times, including a career-best 36 points in a victory Nov. 1 at New York.
