• The Toronto Raptors (21-19) continue a five-game road trip (Jan. 14-21) Monday night against the Miami Heat (27-16) at FTX Arena. Toronto improved to 6-2 in January after a 103-96 victory at Milwaukee on Saturday. The Raptors overcame an early 15-point deficit and held the Bucks to a season low 26 field
goals in the win. Toronto will play eight-of-10 games on the road to end the month of January (Jan. 14-31).
• Pascal Siakam recorded his second career triple-double with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and a season hightying 10 assists Saturday night in Milwaukee. Siakam joins Jose Calderon (2), Marcus Camby (2), Kyle
Lowry (16) and Damon Stoudamire (3) as the only players in franchise history with multiple triple-doubles. Siakam had 22 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists Jan. 11, 2021 at Portland.
• The Raptors outrebounded Milwaukee 16-9 on the offensive end Saturday night, leading to a 20-6 advantage in second-chance points. Toronto (13.5) currently leads the NBA in offensive rebounds per game and rank second (16.9) in second-chance points – behind only Memphis (17.7). Through eight contests in January, the Raptors have outrebounded opponents 125-to-75 (+50) on the offensive glass.
• Rookie Justin Champagnie collected a career-high 12 rebounds, including six offensive boards, in 31 minutes off the bench Saturday against the Bucks. Champagnie’s 12 rebounds was the most by a Raptors
rookie off the bench since Jonas Valanciunas hauled down 13 rebounds Feb. 8, 2013 at Indiana.
• Pascal Siakam is currently averaging 21.1 points and career highs of 8.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He is one of just six players in the NBA averaging 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists this season, along with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, James Harden and Nikola Jokic.
• Reserve Chris Boucher has scored 10+ points in three straight games (Jan. 11-15). Boucher is averaging 12.7 points and 9.7 rebounds over the last three games and is shooting .464 (13-28) from the field.
• Fred VanVleet (4.0) and Gary Trent Jr. (3.5) currently rank second and fourth, respectively, in the NBA in deflections per game. VanVleet has led the NBA in deflections per game each of the past two seasons,
while Trent Jr. also ranks fourth in the league in steals per game (1.91) and has recorded multiple steals in 20 games. The Raptors lead the NBA in deflections per game (18.5) and rank third in steals (9.1).
• Heat guard Kyle Lowry spent nine seasons with the Raptors (2012-21), where he was a six-time NBA AllStar. Lowry is Toronto’s all-time leader in assists (4,277), steals (873), three-pointers made (1,518) and triple-doubles (16). He also accumulated 365 regular season wins and 44 playoff victories, making him the winningest player in franchise history. Lowry led the Raptors to seven consecutive playoff appearances (2014-20), six Atlantic Division titles, five 50-win seasons and the 2019 NBA title. Toronto acquired Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa from the Heat for Lowry as part of a sign-and-trade in the summer.

GAME 3 – OCTOBER 23, 2021
DALLAS 103, TORONTO 95
TORONTO – The one-two punch of Dallas Maverick guards Luka Doncic
and Tim Hardaway Jr. delivered a second-half knockout blow to the Toronto Raptors … After a slow start, Doncic and Hardaway heated up in the
third and fourth quarters to finish with 27 and 25 points, respectively, in
the Mavericks 103-95 victory before a sellout gathering of 19,800 at Scotiabank Arena … It was the Mavericks’ (1-1) first win of the season, while
Toronto (1-2) could not build on its first win in Boston against the Celtics
the night before … The Mavericks trailed by as much as 14 points early.
But before the third quarter hit the midway point, Dallas had tied the game
62-62 thanks to a couple of three-point jumpers from Hardaway … Canadian forward Dwight Powell then gave the Mavericks the lead for the first
time on a nifty pass from guard Doncic … Doncic nailed a three-pointer on
Dallas’s next trip down the floor for a 67-62 lead. At the end of the third
quarter, a brilliant alley-oop play from Fred VanVleet to Precious Achiuwa
pulled the Raptors to within 74-72 … VanVleet finished with 20 points.
