• The Toronto Raptors (21-20) continue a five-game road trip (Jan. 14-21) Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks (25-19) at American Airlines Center. The Raptors are 6-3 in the month of January. Toronto and Dallas meet for the second time this season after the Mavericks won, 103-95, in Toronto in late October. The Raptors play eight-of-10 games on the road to end the month (Jan. 14-31).
Pascal Siakam finished with 18 points, a season high-tying 10 assists and matched a career-best with five
steals Jan. 17 at Miami. Siakam has now recorded seven double-doubles in the last 10 games (Dec. 31 -Jan. 17), averaging 23.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists during this span. Siakam became just the ninth player in franchise history to dish out 10+ assists with no turnovers against the Heat.
Chris Boucher recorded his fourth double-double of the season with a team-high 23 points and 10 rebounds in career high-tying 38 minutes off the bench Jan. 17 at Miami. He has now scored 10+ points in a season high-tying four straight games (Jan. 11-17), averaging 15.3 points and 9.8 rebounds. Boucher
holds the franchise-record with 17 career double-doubles off the bench, including three this season.

VanVleet ranks third in the NBA with 149 threes this season – behind Stephen Curry (196) and Buddy Hield (165).
Pascal Siakam is currently averaging 21.0 points, and career highs of 8.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists. He is one of just six players in the NBA averaging 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists this season, along with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, James Harden and Nikola Jokic.
Precious Achiuwa matched his career high with 15 rebounds against his former team Monday night. Achiuwa and Chris Boucher grabbed six offensive boards apiece vs. Miami and accounted for 12 of Toronto’s 15 offensive rebounds. The Raptors currently lead the NBA in offensive rebounds per game (13.5) and rank second (16.8) in second-chance points – behind only Memphis (17.5). Through nine contests in January, Toronto has outrebounded opponents 140-to-88 (+52) on the offensive end. Boucher (29) and Achiuwa (28) rank tied for sixth and seventh, respectively, in the NBA in offensive rebounds this month.

GAME 3 – OCTOBER 23, 2021
DALLAS 103, TORONTO 95

TORONTO – The one-two punch of Dallas Maverick guards Luka Doncic
and Tim Hardaway Jr. delivered a second-half knockout blow to the Toronto Raptors … After a slow start, Doncic and Hardaway heated up in the
third and fourth quarters to finish with 27 and 25 points, respectively, in
the Mavericks 103-95 victory before a sellout gathering of 19,800 at Scotiabank Arena … It was the Mavericks’ (1-1) first win of the season, while
Toronto (1-2) could not build on its first win in Boston against the Celtics
the night before … The Mavericks trailed by as much as 14 points early.
But before the third quarter hit the midway point, Dallas had tied the game
62-62 thanks to a couple of three-point jumpers from Hardaway … Canadian forward Dwight Powell then gave the Mavericks the lead for the first
time on a nifty pass from guard Doncic … Doncic nailed a three-pointer on
Dallas’s next trip down the floor for a 67-62 lead. At the end of the third
quarter, a brilliant alley-oop play from Fred VanVleet to Precious Achiuwa
pulled the Raptors to within 74-72 … VanVleet finished with 20 points.
