On Auston Matthews’ 60th goal of the season:
“All I can say is that it’s special. It’s unique. It’s rare. I’m just really happy for him. He works extremely
hard, you know the abilities that he has but he works extremely hard at his game, he works extremely
hard off the ice and he takes his craft very seriously so to see him at the top of his game and to be
reaching these milestones, it’s outstanding. So I’m really happy for him. You could tell he was really
happy and I just loved how our fans took care of him tonight. Our fans were outstanding in recognition of
    his accomplishment.”
On Auston Matthews’ 60th goal of the season:

“Pretty unreal. Obviously, a tremendous amount of love from the fans and a great way to do it. A beautiful
goal, pretty textbook Auston Matthews snapper. I think we’re extremely proud of him, obviously really
happy he’s on our side. A tremendous accomplishment. He should be very proud. You just see the
determination and his drive, not just to score goals, but to lead the way and help us win hockey games. It
took a while for us to break through but no doubt he just finds a way, finds different ways to score, finds
different ways to get open so great job, big win and a great way to do it. He’s obviously hit some
milestones here. It’s really cool for him to do it at home and I think for everyone who can enjoy the
atmosphere and embrace it, I know it’s really great for our fans.”
On the moment he scored his 60th goal of the season:

“It was pretty special honestly. Just the reception from my teammates, the crowd, everything. It was just
kind of sends chills down your bones, it’s just kind of hard to put into words.”
On clinching home ice advantage in the First Round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs with
    tonight’s win:
“Yeah, I think it was a really good stepping stone for us tonight to clinch home ice. We’re obviously
working towards something bigger. Definitely a moment for us to enjoy and be happy about but the job’s
not done, the work’s not finished.”
On Auston Matthews’ 60th goal of the season:

“There is only a handful of guys who can do it and really get it done. I think last year with the pace he was
on it could have happened with 82 games as well but obviously with what the game situation was we
couldn’t get there but it’s a great accomplishment something that our whole team is very proud of, and
this city is very proud as you could tell by the chants and cheers out there
