  HEAD COACH SHELDON KEEFE
  On what he saw from the group today that allowed the team to finish this road trip strong:
  Sheldon Keefe: “I thought we regrouped after the first period. I thought Anaheim was definitely the better
  team in that first period. We were able to regroup and find our game in the second. They really in the first
  period made it hard for us to get to the neutral zone, harder to sustain that in a second period setting and
  that allowed us to really get our legs going. So that was a good period for us obviously, we got a lead
  again. Jack Campbell was great all the way throughout. We gave up certainly a lot more volume than we
  would have liked but I thought we defended pretty well tonight and kept things to the perimeter and limited
  rebound opportunities and such. Just a good team effort all the way through. Great road trip for us, this is
  a challenging game here to get through at the end of a long road trip, but the guys dug in and got a win
  and let us go home with a nice clean trip here. Really proud of the group.
  AUSTON MATTHEWS
  On the teams recent run of success:
  Auston Matthews: “It feels great. We’re rolling. It seems like we’re just getting consistent play out of all
  four lines. Our goaltending has been amazing, whether it’s Woller, obviously Soup has been unbelievable
  for us all year. I can’t say enough good things about him. I think just all throughout our lineup we’re
  getting what we need from everybody and it’s been a full team effort every single night.”
  On whether it’s a mindset or the way it worked out that his three goals this road trip were scored
  from close to the net:
  Auston Matthews: “I think a little bit of both. I like to think I can score from different areas. Just try to get
  to the net. Obviously, that’s usually where goals are scored a big percentage of the time. A lot of times
  when it’s not going in from outside you just have to get to the net. I was fortunate to get a couple good
  bounces, a couple good tips and be able to cash in on some plays.”
  MICHAEL BUNTING
  On the teams recent run of success:
  Michael Bunting: “It’s fun to be apart of obviously when you’re winning hockey games. The mood in the
  room is upbeat everyone is happy so it’s really fun to be a part of. It was a great road trip for us, and we
  have to head home and face a good team in Colorado so enjoy tonight and look forward to that game on
  Wednesday.”
  On the team’s confidence level:
  Michael Bunting: “I think the confidence level is good. Everyone is contributing now. Guys are getting on
  the scoresheet and guys are playing their game and it showed tonight and it showed all road trip so I think
  everyone is having fun.”
  JACK CAMPBELL
  On the teams recent run of success:
  Jack Campbell: “Yeah the boys are having a blast out there, we’re working hard and executing the game
  plan. We’re just enjoying it and trying to get better.”
  On what impresses him about the team in front of him:
  Jack Campbell: “They’re just going above and beyond. Everyone is doing what the game plan is and
  sacrificing their bodies and just committing to their rolls and playing super hard for 60 plus minutes, if it
  takes more, they keep it going. Just really proud of the effort out there.”
  ALEXANDER KERFOOT
  On the teams recent run of success:
  Alexander Kerfoot: “Yeah, it’s a lot of fun, I mean anytime you’re winning in good stretches like this it’s a
  lot of fun. There’s lots of energy coming to the rink everyday and we’re playing good hockey so we’ve just
  got to keep it up. We’ve talked all year about consistent and it’s a long haul the 82-game season so trying
  to not get to high but also enjoying the good run we’re on right now.
  On if anything feels different to last year’s regular season success:
  Alexander Kerfoot: “I don’t know. Anytime you’re winning games it feels good and I think during the
  regular season last year we had good stretches and were playing really good hockey then as well so it’s
  tough to say. Defensively we’ve been really solid all year long this year and that has kind of allowed us to
  be in most games and obviously Soupy has been unbelievable so it doesn’t really feel a ton different I
  don’t think. I think we were playing good hockey last season as well but it’s good to keep the momentum
  going.
