  On tonight’s game:
  Sheldon Keefe: “I thought our guys did a really good job of capitalizing on our chances, making good on
  them and thought we played a really disciplined game defensively. At times we defended more than we
  would have liked but thought we did a good job of doing the things that we were looking to do before the
  game which was to limit space and the speed of their best players so it’s a good win for our guys. I loved
  our response in the third period after giving up that goal and getting it right back. We had the edge in
  special teams, our goaltending was strong and we scored goals at 5-on-5. Like I said we defended a little
  bit too much today, we didn’t have the puck as much as we’d like but I thought over than that empty net
  Draisaitl missed in the first period, which was a significant chance, I thought we really didn’t give up much
  and Jack was solid so really good road effort from our team tonight.”

  Jack Campbell: “I just though our guys executed the game plan well and didn’t give their top guys too
  many good looks and it’s hard to do that so credit to the guys in front of me and obviously offensively it’s
  great to see the boys putting them in the net to.”

  Jack Campbell: “That’s always the goal but they are such great players it’s hard to do so it just shows
  how well we played as a team, defensively, the defencemen tonight had some big blocks, some great box
  outs and just honestly played a great hockey game all around.”

  On tonight’s game:
  Auston Matthews: “I think it was a pretty solid game other than maybe the second period. I thought the
  first 10 minutes there they really took control of the game and we were just a little bit back on our heels.
  Soupy made some unbelievable saves, not only in that period but the whole game and we just kind of
  weathered the storm and then were able to give ourselves a bit of a cushion in the third.”
  On hearing Maple Leafs fans in the crowd tonight:
  Auston Matthews: “We travel really well no matter where we go. We’ve got a pretty big fan base, so I
  find, really in any building, there is blue and white. It’s awesome, it’s awesome to have that environment,
  especially in away buildings so it was a lot of fun to play in front of that energy tonight.”

  On tonight’s win:
  Morgan Rielly: “Yeah I think if you look at the game as a whole we’d like the puck more than we had it
  tonight and they definitely had periods of time where they controlled the play, they were kind of rolling
  around our zone. That being said, I think we defended pretty well. I don’t think we gave up that many oddman rushes against a team that likes to play with a lot of speed. Our goaltending was good and when we
  were in the d-zone we did a good job of keeping them to the outside. All-in-all we want the puck more and
  we don’t want to have them rolling around like they did. When that is happening, we have to be able to
  lock it down a little bit and we were decent at that tonight and obviously the third I thought we were good.”
