    POSTGAME QUOTES:
    HEAD COACH SHELDON KEEFE
    On Källgren’s NHL debut:

“He was great. He was calm, cool, collected and big saves. He looked to be confident for a guy going in for his first start in those circumstances with no heads up. I thought he looked excellent. He didn’t get tested a lot and then when he did he was really good and obviously nothing he can do at all on the
winning goal but he kept us alive with that save in overtime just before that. He gave us a chance to win the game the other way with Will’s breakaway so great showing by him. He should be proud of himself.”
    AUSTON MATTHEWS
On tonight’s game and Källgren’s debut
    :
“We gave ourselves a chance and he gave us a chance in there so we battled back and got a point but obviously not good enough from the start and we didn’t get playing until the third period.”
    ERIK KÄLLGREN
On what was going through his mind as he stepped into the game tonight:

“Not much to be honest. I tried to keep the head clear and just go out there and embrace the moment. It
was a big moment for me to play my first minutes in the NHL so just tried to have fun.”
    PETR MRÁZEK
    On his play tonight:

“Well it started with the first goal, early on with a bad rebound there and that set the game. I think I didn’t
help the team get through the first period where it easily could have been 0-0.”
On if there was any added pressure tonight:
“No, I don’t think there were any nerves. We don’t think about those things, we just treat it like another
game and like I said it was an easy first save, block save should go in the corner and the game would be
    different.”

STOCKTON — Warriors sophomore center James Wiseman was expected to be rusty in his first live game action in 11 months. But as a recent No. 2 overall, he was also expected to show some flashes of top-flight talent, too. Expectations were, indeed, reality in the center’s return to the court Thursday. There was some rust,…

The Toronto Raptors (34-30) continue a six-game road trip (March 6-16) Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs (25-40) at AT&T Center. The Raptors are 2-5 since the All-Star break. Rookie Scottie Barnes is averaging 18.6 and a team-high 8.9 rebounds over the last seven games. The Raptors have
won two in a row vs. San Antonio – Toronto has never won three straight against the Spurs. Fred VanVleet scored 33 points in the Raptors’ 129-104 victory over the Spurs in early January.
• All-Star Fred VanVleet has missed five straight games (Feb. 28 – Mar. 6) with right knee soreness. The Raptors are 5-7 without VanVleet in the lineup this season. VanVleet is averaging career highs of 21.4
points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists, in 52 games this season, and ranks third in the NBA in 3-pointers made (208) – behind only Stephen Curry (270) and Buddy Hield (217) – despite missing 12 games.
Pascal Siakam is averaging 21.5 points, and career bests of 8.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists, in 51 games this season. Siakam is one of just seven players in the NBA averaging 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.0
assists, along with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Dejounte Murray and Julius Randle. No Raptor has averaged 20-8-5 over the course of an entire season.
• The Raptors have lost a season high-tying three straight games (Mar. 3-6). Toronto is averaging 99.7 points and shooting .407 (110-270) from the field, including .287 (25-87) from beyond the arc, over the past three. Opponents are averaging 105.0 points, shooting .428 (113-264) from the floor and 30 percent (33-110) from three-point distance, during this stretch.
• Scottie Barnes posted his fourth double-double in the last five games (Feb. 28 – Mar. 6) with 19 points and 12 rebounds Sunday at Cleveland. Barnes is averaging 19.2 points and 10.6 rebounds during this span. Barnes now has nine double-doubles this season – fifth most by a Raptors rookie behind Damon
Stoudamire (37), Chris Bosh (13), Ed Davis (13) and Charlie Villanueva (12).
• Toronto tied a season-low with just seven turnovers Sunday against the Cavaliers. The Raptors had committed double-digit turnovers in their previous seven games (Feb. 16 – Mar. 4). Toronto (12.7) and San Antonio (12.7) are currently tied for fourth in the NBA in turnovers per game.
Scottie Barnes was named Eastern Conference rookie of the month for February after averaging 15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 31.8 minutes in 12 games last month. Barnes is the 11th player in franchise history to earn the honour.
• The Raptors acquired Thaddeus Young, along with Drew Eubanks and a 2022 second round draft pick, from San Antonio at the NBA trade deadline in exchange for Goran Dragic and a protected 2022 first round draft pick. Young appeared in 26 games with the Spurs this season. Since joining Toronto, he has scored in double figures in four-of-eight games off the bench, averaging 6.6 points and 18.0 minutes.

POSTGAME QUOTES

HEAD COACH GREG MOORE

On today’s game:

When we’re playing on our toes and we’re playing with pace and all five guys on the ice are playing with a purpose and a plan, we’re typically not taking penalties. When we’re reaching, when we’re falling behind, our structure is not in place, it puts us in tough spots. I mean you can always argue the bounces, when refs may be calling things that you don’t think are penalties and it goes back and forth for all teams throughout the whole season. We’re hitting a rough patch here, but we just got to stay off the refs, we’ve got to take care of ourselves, take ownership of our play and make sure we stay out of the box.
